PSYCHIATRIC ASSOCIATES OF ATLANTA CAN PROVIDE FORENSIC PSYCHIATRIC EVALUATIONS, CONSULTATIONS, AND EXPERT
WITNESS TESTIMONY IN CIVIL AND CRIMINAL CASES, INCLUDING:
the insanity defense and criminal responsibility, competency to stand trial,
capital sentencing, and mitigation. Drs. Lipsig and Norman can also conduct workplace violence assessments and/or
Fitness for Duty evaluations. Psychiatric Associates of Atlanta currently provides psychiatric
services at the Atlanta City Detention Center and can consult on medicolegal issues
in correctional psychiatry. Both doctors have specific expertise in conducting
independent medical evaluations, including disability evaluations, employment discriminations,
Workers' Compensation, and personal psychiatric injury evaluations. Both psychiatrists have
experience conducting medical record review in psychiatric malpractice and
standard of care cases. Drs. Lipsig and Norman additionally have experience
with testamentary capacity (competency to make a will) and various other
civil competency evaluations.
Both Dr. Lipsig and Dr. Norman are Board Certified in Psychiatry and Forensic Psychiatry and are willing to discuss any of
the above issues with attorneys. Payment is not contingent on any verdict,
